Why is it that Christians are so persecuted more than any other religion? I have been in many different types of religions and they all consisted of the same ideas. We are to love each other and God. Whenever I tell people I am Christian they seem to get upset and attack me with words and tell me everything that is wrong with my religion, like it is not good enough. I have done a lot of research and found that 166,000 Christians die each year for believe in their religion. Whenever something terrible is going on in the world isn’t it the Christian Ministries that go all over the world to help. Another point is that my soon to be ex has converted to Muslim religion because his adulteress is Muslim. I thought that was a good thing because he would be involved in something that would help lead him to God. All he ever talks about though is how much better their religion is compared to everyone else and they are the most peaceful. I don’t understand how this could be. I thought Buddhist, Quakers, Mormons, White witches, good Santarians were all peaceful. Also throughout history everyone has had to fight for their believes even the Muslims did centuries ago. Why can’t people just respect each other and God?

Christians in other countries are being dragged out of bed at 2:00 in the morning and being tortured and beaten for their faith!

Why don’t you tell Christians that you are an atheist and see how that works out? Especially try it in the Bible belt.

Because most religions are anything but respectful. They teach that they are the good guys and everyone else is “wicked” and “evil” and they will burn in hell. What kind of pathetic bullsh!t is that to teach about your fellow humans, simply because they don’t see your imaginary friend up in the sky? It’s a 2 way street pal, you need to have the same respect for people that don’t believe in imaginary friends. Your religion won’t allow that though, will it? That’s the problem with religion, it forces you to condemn others simply because they don’t buy into your delusion.
In the west at least christians are probably the least persecuted religion and tend to be the ones who persecute others.

They don’t persecute they ridicule, and they ridicule because the Christian belief is ridiculous.

I think your main question here is not your title question, but your last one; “Why can’t people just respect each other and God?” Thats a very hard question to answer. It really doesnt have “one” but many.
The truth is that over history, Christians HAVE made war over and over again. So much death and pain has been caused by that church, not everyone can dissociate it.It is allso still oppressive at times, depending on the denomination.
It is the worlds largest religion as well, and so has huge amounts of followers and opposition.

You can’t seem to keep your religious agendas to yourselves, you want to make it government policy. So if you just existed to serve your god and keep your lunatic believes to yourself then you probably wouldnt be “persecuted” as you call it. And by the way how many of those 166,000 chrstains are dying for thier believes in this country? Was’nt it christains who started all the crusades? Was’nt it christains that were behind the inquisitions? Stop your crying, because christains are guilty of mutliple crimes against humanity.

I think you have it backwards. I am sure some Christians are persecuted, but there are many more groups which some Christians persecuted and still do. Muslims with the Crusades, Jewish people with the Holocaust, gay people (Holocaust, hate crimes and repressing them through the law,) destruction of entire cultures in S. America….etc.
I think you’ll find that plenty of other believers are killed for their religion, and I think 166,000 per year is quite overblown.
My own lightbulb moment came in a situation where I was treating Christianity and Islam exactly the same way, and Christians accused me of favoring Islam and attacking Christianity. Christians seem to expect favorable treatment to a degree that makes them think being treated like everyone else is persecution.
Because they feel guilty and in their hearts they know it’s the truth…
